Rev. Dr. Myers is married to his high school sweetheart, First Lady Martha J. Myers, for over forty-four (44) years. He is the proud father of three children: two sons and one daughter. Rev. Dr. Myers served in the United States Marine Corps for over twenty-six years and retired with honorable service. He later earned his Doctor of Divinity from Union Baptist College & Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his Doctor of Theology from A.P. Clay Christian Theological College in Kenner, Louisiana. He serves in multiple leadership roles, including Assistant Treasurer of the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, Vice President-at-Large of the Louisiana General Missionary Baptist Convention, and Fourth Vice President of the Louisiana Freedman Missionary Baptist General Association, where he previously served as Treasurer. He is also President of the Baptist Pastors Conference of New Orleans and Vicinity, Financial Secretary of the New St. John Baptist Association, a member of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) of New Orleans, and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees at Union Baptist College and Theological Seminary. He is a former President of the Pastors Conference of the Louisiana Home and Foreign Mission State Convention and former Second Vice President of the Liberty Baptist Association. Rev. Dr. Myers also served as Vice President (2003–2004) and President (2005–2006) of the Union Baptist Theological Seminary and College Student Body, and is a member of the Mayor’s Clergy Advisory Board. Pastor Myers favorite motto is “If You Be Fair with God, He’ll be fair with you”. His favorite bible verse is the 23rd Psalms . His favorite hymn is “Father I Stretch My Hands to Thee, No other help I know”. Rev. Dr. Myers is a preacher and teacher that enjoys preaching and teaching the word of the Almighty God
